ADAPTOGENSModulate and / or Adjust Hormonal and Immune responses. Herbs: (e.g.) Cat's Claw and Ginseng. 


ALTERATIVES: Beneficially alters the condition of a patient. Cleanses the Blood by being given in small doses for a full Blood Cycle (12 weeks) to cleanse the Blood of the remains of an earlier Infection. that has not been completely removed (Chronic) or in large quantities over a shorter period of time for current Acute Infection. They cause an elimination of some kind such as Coughing, Loose Bowel movements, Increased Urination and Sweating. This results in Balanced Energy Levels, glowing Skin or Coat, improved Body Condition and General Vitality. These are useful in the treatment of Viruses affecting the Joints such as Ross River Fever, Post - Viral Syndrome, Respiratory System and in healing stubborn Infections in the Body that have not responded to Antibiotics. Herbs: Agrimony, Blue Flag, Burdock, Celery, Garlic, Echinacea, Dandelion, Horsetail, Poke Root, Red Clover and Yellow Dock.  


ANALGESIC: Reduce the intensity of the Pain to allow healing, but they do not block the Pain, like Drugs do. They can be used for a long time, as they also have healing properties. Underlying causes are differentiated to select the most appropriate herb to suite the actual Cause. Herbs: Black Willow, Cayenne, Chamomile, Cloves, Passionflower, Skullcap, Valerian and White Willow Bark. 


ANODYNE: Pain relieving Herbs: Aconite - Poisonous) Hops, Jamaican Dogwood, Poppy (Poisonous)


ANTHELMINTICS: Causes the demise and elimination of Worms in the Body and acts against Internal Parasites. Herbs: Aloes, False Unicorn Root, Garlic, Male Fern, Quassia, Tansy, Wormseed and Wormwood.   


ANTI - ASTHMATICS: Reduces Asthma Symptoms. Herbs: Lobelia and Grindelia.

 ANTI - FUNGALS: Active against Fungi and Moulds. Effects Candida in the Digestive Tract. Herbs: Black Walnut, Cinnamon, Garlic, Ginger, Golden Seal, Marigold and Thyme.


 ANTI - HISTAMINES: Reduces the production and release of Histamine. Herbs: Chamomile, Ginger, Golden Root and Pillbearing Spurge. 


ANTI - INFLAMMATORYS: Reduces Inflammation and also used to reduce heat and swelling usually occurring in localized areas, such as the Legs. Herbs:  Black Cohosh, Black Willow, Chamomile, Devil’s Claw, Hops, Meadowsweet, St. John’s Wart, Valerian and Witch Hazel.


ANTI - LITHICS: Prevents Urinary Stones and Gravel formation. Herbs: Buchu, Corn Silk, Couch Grass, Gravel Root, Pellitory of the Wall and Stone Root.


ANTI - MICROBIALS: Destroys or inhibits Micro – Organisms. Herbs 


ANTI - NEOPLASTICS: Reduces the tendency to form Tumours. Herbs: Cat’s Claw, Cleavers and Red Clover.


 ANTI - OXIDANTS: Improves the Body’s defence against Oxidizing Toxins. High dose combinations of the anti - Oxidant Vitamins A, C and Zinc, as well as topical applications of Vitamin E are used for preventative Dermatology. These are used to treat Rashes and Dermatitis with Pruritic Skin Conditions also responding to Vitamins A and C. Athlete's Foot and Fungal Infections along with Cracked Skin between the Fingers, Dandruff and Stretch Marks also respond to topical Vitamin E and the oral intake of anti - Oxidant Vitamins. They assist the Body to strengthen its Defence System reducing the chance of re - Infection and to heal damaged Skin. Geldings / Stallions: Cleavers.


 ANTI - SPASMODIC: Any substance that prevents or relieves Spasms. Reduces Cramps and Pain by releasing Spasms in the Muscles and Organs, returning the Blood flow and Normal Nerve signals to the area.  Herbs: Asafoetida, Black Haw, Black Chamomile, Cohosh, Cramp Bark, Lady's Slipper, Lobelia (poisonous) Mistletoe, Pulsatilla, Scullcap, Stramonium (poisonous) Valerian and Wild Yam.


ANTI - TUSSIVES: Reduces Coughing. Herbs: Coltsfoot and Elecampane.
